The end

Finally I finished reading Gatsby. I really don’t expected that final. It is very sad. Firstly when Wilson killed Gatsby in chapter 8 i felt like that was so predictable, but when I was reading the chapter 9 I really felt so bad about Gatsby´s end because he was really a good man.
It was unexpected that at the final of the book Gatsby’s father appear. He was very sad about his son death, but he really was proud of him, because with anything he start working and got everything he had. Although Gatsby disappeared more or less of his father life and lie about his past, his father still proud of him, because he always thought that his son was very smart.
And my opinion about Tom is bad because was his fault that Gatsby is death, but I think that is Daisy´s fault too because she was the one that killed Myrtle, by an accident, but she was. And the meanest part is that she was unable to call Nick or sent a letter, or go to the funeral when it was her fault. I expected that Tom wasn’t going to go Gatsby´s funeral because he is rude, but I don’t understand how Tom and Daisy don’t feel about that when they have some blame.
Finally Nick left because he is so good to live in that society where the most important part is the money and social status instead the people.

The Gatsby epicenter

After reading this chapter I can’t wait to read chapter 9 and know how finish this weird history of tragic, love and everything that I read in Gatsby’s good.
In this chapter we have a lot of things to talk, we can see how hurt it’s Gatsby because he thinks that he lost Daisy. He is kind of depressed and very sad because finally, he is really in love with her.
I think the Chapter is very interesting because Gatsby gets killed by Wilson in the pool, the reason for why he is killed is Wilson thinks he killed Daisy. Tom saw Gatsby’s car hit Myrtle and assumed it was Gatsby. I think that the pool detail is important because before Gatsby killed, one of the servants ask him to put the water off and he said: I had not use the pool in all the summer. Maybe we can relate that with how the time pass and he don’t do anything, like in the five years in which he and Daisy passed without see each other.
I got really impressed with this chapter because my prediction was that Tom were going to kill Gatsby and not Wilson.
I found weird when Wilson kill himself. I think that it is like it means that he feels like after that he feels betrayed and that he doesn't have anything.

Real Life for Gatsby

When i finished reading the chapter 7 i just realized that it was a lot of new information about Gatsby, Daisy and Tom. In this chapter Tom and Gatsby started like a competition or a kind of superiority fight because they both know the intentions with each other. Tom knows what is going on between Gatsby and Daisy, and Gatsby is starting to realize that Tom know what is happening so he takes like an attitude. This chapter had really surprised me, because i thought that Gatsby and Daisy would hold their secret until the final of the book, and when Gatsby said to Tom that Daisy had never love him i got really impressed.

The rivalry between them is very strong. Not only because of Daisy, also because for the different social class which they belong. Because Gatsby is kind of innovation, new things he is the “new money” and Tom hates that.
The scene that really impact me is when Tom said something between black and white and they were all white, so like in chapter one he is acting racist again.
When Tom knew that Myrtle, his lover was death he gets petrified and it seems he does not know whether to feel sad or angry. And i feel really impressed too when i read that the one that was driving the car that killed Myrtle was Daisy. This scene was so unpredictable.

Daisy and Gatsby

I just finished read chapter 5. It´s a very interesting chapter in which we can see a lot of different feeling between the characters.
The first part of the chapter when Gatsby invites Nick to hang out to Coney Island Nick seems distant with Gatsby, like he is making excuses to don't go there.as
But the main idea in this chapter is the meeting again between Gatsby and Daisy. As Gatsby sais in the chapter, it has been almost five years since he saw her, but in my opinion i think that Gatsby is in love with Daisy. When he is showing her his house, he looks like he wants her to live there with him. But i am  not sure about Daisy, she looks like she likes Gatsby, but i don't really know if she is in love with him, because sometimes it seems that she just love his money, like she is materialistic, but there is something of Gatsby that attracts her. I think that she at the final of the book she is going to go with Gatsby because it looks like in a few chapters Gatsby and Daisy are going to stay together.

NY party and others

When i finished reading the second chapter I understood so much better the first one that i said it was confusing. There’s a lot of things to talk abot in this chapter.
Second chapter helped me to see how is Tom, i was right when i said that he is kind of rude and mean. The main idea in this second chapter is that Tom cheats her wife with a girl whose name is Myrtle. She is married to Mr. Wilson, belongs to a middle class while Tom is in the high class with a lot of money. I think that this made Tom ashamed or embarrass when he is with her because he knows that he is from a different social class, old money, and he doesn't want to lose that privilege. So Myrtle is kind of his toy. But Myrtle is in love with him so she doesn’t cares or maybe she doesn’t see that… I think that in the future Daisy, Tom’s wife, will realize that her husband is cheating on her.
The fact that Tom hit Myrtle in the face was a sign of his character of dominant male or something like that… and Myrtle continued loving him, so that why I think that she doesn’t realize how Tom is using her.
Finally, when Mr. Mckee talks about the Gatsby’s party one month ago, and he said that Gatsby scares him, I think that the reaction of Nick was the opposite, like he wants to meet him and he is interested in him.

Gatsby starts

I finish read chapter one of Gatsby. When I was reading I feel like a little bit confused... I want to talk about Gatsby. This character seems mysterious, unknown, like that nobody knows who he is really, I don't know yet who is he, but I am interested on it. Other character in who I pay attention is Tom, he seems rude, self- sufficient and maybe mean. While his wife, Daisy is a woman that had passed bad experiences in the past so she is very protective and a careful person.
Also, I get so impressed about Nick commentaries about the book, when he said "It’s up to us, who are the dominant race, to watch out or these other races will have control of things ”. That comment is kind of racist, and he sounds despising when he said “that other races”.
This chapter is a little bit confusing but it seems that while I am going to read next chapter I will understand everything better.
